How I Beat the Midday Slump

Summertime… the sun is shining, everyone shifts outdoors and social activities become more abundant. These are all fantastic aspects of the summer months, but between early morning exercising, work, and setting aside time for fun, it can be a real challenge to stay energized throughout the day. Does anyone else start to feel burned out by 3pm?

With such a busy schedule, meal prep can be difficult to maintain. Sometimes I find myself reaching for whatever food is closest, which isn’t always the healthiest option. Snacking is something that I make sure to prioritize as a nutritious part of my day. I view it as an opportunity to fuel my body with the proper nutrients so I can accomplish my goals and not be held back by dips in energy levels.

I never want to feel dissatisfied after eating, so I’ve made a conscious effort to find functional snacks that also taste good. So what’s my current go-to snack of choice?
